| ~ Jimmy Neutron's best known catchphrase. |
James Isaac "Jimmy" Neutron is the titular main protagonist of Nickelodeon's franchise of the same name and one of the two titular main protagonists (alongside Timmy Turner) of The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour television special trilogy.
He is a child prodigy and the world's smartest 11-year-old. He is named after scientists Sir Isaac Newton, and James Chadwick who was nicknamed "Jimmy Neutron", because of his discovery of the neutron.
He is a genius inventor, but some of his inventions go horribly wrong and it is usually up to him and his friends to stop them. He lives in Retroville with his robot dog, Goddard, who is named after Robert H. Goddard (a pioneer in modern rocketry) and his parents, Hugh, a bumbling, goofy car salesman and duck-lover, and Judy who is his mother. He has an IQ of 210, making him the most intelligent resident of Retroville. He also loves having adventures with his best friends; Carl, Sheen Estevez, Nick Dean, Cindy Vortex, Libby Folfax, and Goddard and fighting Villains. Jimmy also hates being short and usually gets mad when he's reminded of it.
He was voiced by Debi Derryberry.

- Along with Timmy Turner, he saved both their worlds from Professor Calamitous and from the Anti-fairies.
- Along with Timmy Turner, he saved both their worlds form Shirley, and apologized to him for the way they treated him.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
In General[]
- He is somewhat of an anti-hero, as he mostly creates his inventions for selfish reasons and personal gain rather than out of a desire to do good.
- He can be extremely arrogant, condescending and insensitive to the point of being a know-it-all.
- He has too many mischievous and jerkish "Kick the Dog" moments, with Cindy being his biggest target.
Film[]
- While he didn't do so on purpose, his reckless decision of sending his satellite message into outer space is what led to the Yolkians kidnapping the adults of Retroville, including his parents.
- While Jimmy instantly regrets this mistake, it resulted in his friends and peers temporarily distrusting him.
TV Series[]
- Much of Retroville's problems are mostly his fault, as they are mainly caused by his inventions backfiring. This reputation led not only to Jimmy being an outcast among his peers, but also within his extended family.
- Jimmy has no issues with using his friends as guinea pigs for his experiments, regardless of how dangerous they are and how much pain his friends endured as a result.
- While Jimmy does take responsibility for his mistakes, he rarely learns a lesson or show concern for the consequences unless it personally affects him in some way.
- His competitiveness can get him in trouble such as his love-hate rivalry with Cindy.
Trivia[]
- Because John A. Davis is planning to continuing the series in the future if Nickelodeon lets him, there is a possibility that his status could be affected.
