His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- After The Fallen abandoned him and the Seekers on Earth, he chose to defect to the Autobots instead of living a life of hatred among the Decepticon ranks.
- He was among the many Autobots who worked with the Order of the Witwiccans to protect Earth before he went into stasis lock.
- After being awakened by Sam, Mikaela and Simmons, having been dormant for several years in the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, despite appearing initially hostile, he doesn't attack the humans.
- Despite initially ignoring the humans, it was only because he was trying to regain his bearings in order to finish his mission.
- He demanded answers as to the current state of the world and told the humans of how he defected to the Autobots, which inspired Wheelie to do the same.
- After Sam showed him the symbols he'd been seeing. Jetfire managed to recall his mission and explained how The Fallen had left him behind.
- He used a space bridge to take the group of humans as well as Bee and the Twins to Egypt where they would be able to search for the Tomb of the Primes.
- In the Novelization, upon arriving and being attacked by Ransack, he quickly defeated him.
- He told the story of the Primes and how they made first contact on Earth, explaining who The Fallen was and his plan to retrieve the matrix of leadership from the Tomb of the Primes to start up the Sun Harvester.
- This alone makes him stand out since it's only because of him that Sam managed to find the Tomb of the Primes and the Matrix of Leadership, which he later used to ressurect Optimus so he could defeat The Fallen.
- He urged the humans to leave quickly in their search before the Decepticons found them.
- He returned to fight in the Battle of Egypt and quickly took down and killed Mixmaster, saving Mikaela and the NEST Soldiers.
- After being ambushed by Scorponok, he managed to subdue him and finally kill him, avenging all the innocent humans he had killed.
- He helped Sam reach Optimus and was overjoyed upon seeing a living Prime.
- After The Fallen injured Optimus and took the Matrix back, Jetfire sacrificed his life by choosing to give his parts to Optimus in order to make him more powerful than ever before so that he could defeat The Fallen, ripping out his spark and allowing Jolt to transfer his parts over to Optimus, creating Jet Mode. Ratchet and Jolt transplant Jetfire's remains to Optimus.
- His sacrifice was the only reason Optimus managed to defeat Megatron (forcing him into hiding) and overpower The Fallen, preventing him from using the Sun Harvester to take down the Sun and saving not just humanity but the entire planet of Earth, allowing Jetfire to pass the admirable standard, and this is without mentioning that the transfer of his parts also helped save Optimus' life.
- His Jet Mode continued to help Optimus years later as he used it to take down the Driller during the Battle of Chicago and it greatly aided him in defeating several Decepticons, including Shockwave.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is a pretty destructive guy as upon waking up in the Smithsonian and failing to open the doors, he violently tried to override them and shoot them before simply smashing them down. Even after getting outside he still damaged and destroyed several planes.
- He has several jerkish moments and is pretty unsensitive towards those he meets:
- He mocked Sam about Earth's name and angrily told him he might as well call the planet dirt.
- He wrathfully took out his problems on the humans that brought him out of stasis lock, ranting about his parents and how his father had honor despite not being able to transform while violently smashing his fist against the ground.
- He is very reckless as he opened a Space Bridge without acknowledging if it might have had a negative impact on the humans he was transporting. The arrival process is also shown to be very sudden and aggresive and injured both the humans and cybertronians involved. Not to mention that there was a possibility they could have ended up on a different planet, which he himself admits.
- Much like every other Cybertronian Warrior in this continuity, he is very lethal and has no qualms with killing his foes, even finding battles to be quite fun. Examples include stomping Mixmaster's head off and ripping off Scorponok's spine.
