Gerald Jinx Mouse, Sr., better known as Jerry Mouse, or simply Jerry is one of the titular two main protagonists (alongside Tom Cat) of the Tom and Jerry franchise. He is a brown anthropomorphic mouse, who first appeared in the MGM 1940 short, Puss Gets the Boot. He is usually chased by Tom and he usually foils his plans to catch and dispose of him. He is Tom's arch-rival and occasional best friend.
Like Tom, he was voiced by the late William Hanna and has been replaced by various voice actors. He was voiced by the late Dana Hill in Tom and Jerry: The Movie.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- In some shorts, he helps Tom stop the villain of the series depending on the plot.
- He has sometimes helped Tom when he was in trouble or when he went too far.
- He often protects his nephew Tuffy from Tom.
- He protected and helped various animals such as a duck, a puppy, and a baby elephant from Tom.
- He and Tom saved Robyn Starling from being captured by Pristine Figg.
- He and Tom stopped many villains in the direct-to-video film series.
- In Blast Off to Mars, he thwarts the Martians' invasion on Earth by helping to resurrect the disintegrated humans and tricking Spike the bulldog into destroying the Invince-a-tron by throwing his bone into the robot's head.
- He prevented Tin, Pan, and Alley from stealing millions of jewellery.
- He helped Dorothy Gale and Toto return home to Kansas.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Like Ton, he can be on & off.
- Also like Tom, he is way too mischievous and jerkish and can often try to get Tom in trouble and go too far with his retaliations for him chasing him and is willing to drive him insane.
- He is lethal as he's attacked Tom sometimes unprovoked and can be sadistic at times.
- He once forced his nephew Tuffy to deliver letters to his love interest and didn't care that he was attacked by Tom plenty of times even though he's only a kid.
