~ Jane to Clementine about abandoning the group (determinant). |
Jane is a major character in Telltale's The Walking Dead video game series, serving as a major character in Season Two and determinately a returning character in A New Frontier in flashbacks.
She is a resourceful, opportunistic and cunning person who has managed to adapt very well to the harsh and unforgiving lifestyle of a survivor.
She was voiced by Christine Lakin.
Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Admirable?[]
Season Two[]
- During the escape Howe's Hardware plan, she teaches the group one of the important survival skills. She suggests that they could get through the herd of walkers by covering themselves in walker guts. Clementine can side with her on this.
- While the group is escaping, Troy confronts them. She approaches him seductively while convincing him to let them go. After lowering Troy's guard, she shoots him in the groin and walks away, leaving him to be killed by walkers and saving some time for the group while walkers are lured to Troy's screams.
- While Sarah is screaming after his father Carlos' death, Jane assists Clementine to save her by killing walkers and giving Sarah time to escape.
- Helps Rebecca and Clementine making out of the herd.
- The two stumble across a mobile home park, Jane teaches Clementine skills, such as looting walkers. Seeing two fresh corpses, Jane stabs them to make sure they are dead, because "you can never be too sure with these things". Jane then teaches Clementine that she must put him down because he was her friend. Further in the park, the two see two lone walkers. Jane teaches Clementine another skill, where she kicks the knee of the walker, causing them to fall on the stomach or back then killing them by stabbing them in the head. All of these skills significantly improved Clementine's survivability throughout the whole series and Clementine used them and taught these skills to his friends even years after she and Jane departured.
- While they're stuck in the trailer with walkers, Jane boosts Luke up to skylight and saved him from there. Then, Luke boosts them up and saved Clementine. (and Sarah if Clementine managed to make her move)
- If Clementine remains silent to choose rob Arvo's supplies or not, Jane will make the choice by not stealing them and giving them back to Arvo, even though she did that irritably.
- (If Sarah is saved by Clementine in the trailer) During walkers' attacking observation deck, Sarah is trapped under the rubble while Jane is hanging on by the edge. Luke will try to save Jane while Clementine can either help Jane or tell her to rescue Sarah. However, if told to rescue Sarah, Jane drops down and attempts to lift the rubble off of Sarah to allow her to escape. However, in either option, Sarah is unable to be rescued.
- When Kenny is almost killed by Vitali, she stabs him in the back of the neck, saving Kenny's life.
- Later on, when the group discovers an abandoned power station, Jane and Kenny scout the place out before ushering the rest over. That night, Jane keeps watch while the rest of the group sits around a campfire.
- When Clementine and Luke fall through the ice, Jane manages to pull Clementine out and carry her the rest of the way to the house, saving her.
- Although she didn't try to save Luke, after his death, Jane claimed that she had never felt as sad as that for a long time. This is because Jane loved him as she had sexual intercourse with him and she also carried his child.
- After Kenny beats Arvo, she criticizes him over his actions.
- (If Clementine went with Jane) Apologizes Clementine for her plan, but states that even though it is stupid, it has to be done in order to learn what is Kenny capable of.
Season Three (If Clementine went with Jane)[]
- She takes the role of the guardian of Clementine and Alvin Jr., providing them a safe shelter, Howe's Hardware, a walker-cleared base.
- If Clementine fails to kill the walker, Jane saves her by killing it.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- Believes that if people can't or don't want to be saved, they should be left behind rather than drag everyone else down with them. Because of this, people tend to see Jane as a cold-hearted woman who only cares about herself. With this belief, Jane left Sarah behind and suggested Clementine to do the same.
- She is needlessly a jerk towards people on multiple occasions, especially to Kenny, whom she decides to "play a game" with just to call him an asshole.
- Puts AJ in danger to provoke Kenny into going berserk and try to kill her so she could have an excuse to do the same, and can cause Clementine to shoot Kenny and killing him.
- During her fight scene with Kenny, although Clementine tried to stop her, Jane did not stop and kept fighting with Kenny to death, until she is defeated.
- (If Clementine went with Jane) After she found out that she is pregnant, she commits suicide to kill both herself and her own child.
