“ | Smile, Father! Think of all the women left to woo in the world. Ha ha ha! I jest, I jest! ...But seriously. Do try to smile. | „ |

“ | If, after the war, I were to go somewhere. Somewhere far away... If you never saw me again... Would you be angry? Would you be able to forgive me for abandoning you? | „ |
~ Inigo in his supports with Xander. |
Inigo, also known as Laslow, is one of the heroes of the Fire Emblem franchise, appearing in Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Fates. The son of Olivia and retainer of Xander, he travels back in time to avert the bad future that the world has been subjected to in his timeline, and after the events of that game, he is recruited by Anankos to travel to the kingdom of Nohr to protect his child, Corrin.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He, alongside the rest of the future kids in Awakening, travelled back in time to save the world from the grim future that they know awaits it. As such, he has the goal of helping to kill Grima.
- He, Owain and Severa travelled from Ylisse to Nohr at Anankos' request, with the objective of both protecting Corrin and saving the kingdom of Valla, which comes to pass if Corrin chooses the Revelation path.
- Even after he is attacked by Lilith sending Vallite soldiers after them, he, along with Owain and Severa, refuses to give up on Anankos or abandon him, instead choosing to fight for him.
- He loyally serves as a retainer to Xander, the crown prince of the Nohrian royal family, and feels immense guilt about having to abandon him to return home one day.
- He, Owain and Severa stand out from the other Awakening future children for being the only ones to save not just one, but two kingdoms.
- Loyally fights in both Robin and Corrin's armies, and it is mentioned in several support chains that he has done plenty of work protecting his allies in the middle of battle.
- In his support chain with Peri, he manages to redeem her, getting her to think more about how other people feel and stop killing so indiscriminately, which is shown to last even beyond their paired ending.
- Shows respect for his mother by completing the dance she partially taught to him, showing her present version the dance as a gesture of love.
- In his support chain with Beruka, he successfully catches an assassin who has her sights set on Princess Camilla, both as a general measure to protect the throne, and as a way to make up for having accidentally allowed her to get away from Beruka's crosshairs earlier in the chain.
- Shows up in Chapter 12 of Conquest's story, fighting Ryoma alongside Peri to protect Corrin.
- In the final confrontation with Xander in Birthright, he will place his life on the line to protect his lord and fights the player's army to the death.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- His status is dependent on the player's choice. On the Conquest and Revelation routes, he is heroic, but on the Birthright route, he is a villlainous antagonist.
- No matter which route is chosen, he is fully complicit in the war that Nohr wages on Hoshido, fighting on the side of the aggressor.
- He is a pervert, constantly flirting with women and acting like a general philanderer. While he never attempts anything seriously harmful, he can frequently be annoying or insensitive when doing so.
- He can be a bit of a mischievous jerk. This is shown in his needling of Owain, Brady and Gerome in their supports. While this is toned down in Fates, it is still present in his supports with Keaton.
Trivia[]
- He, along with Severa and Owain, is one of the three characters from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Fates to be Inconsistently Admirable.
