His Heroic Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- In "Raiders of the Lost Ark," Indiana Jones embarks on a quest to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can seize it for their own malevolent purposes. He faces numerous challenges, traps, and adversaries but ultimately prevents the Nazis from wielding the Ark's power.
- He rescues enslaved children from a cult in India that practices human sacrifice.
- He navigates through dangerous traps and a temple filled with peril to save the children and stop the cult's dark rituals.
- In his quest for the Holy Grail, Indiana Jones confronts the Nazis once again. He overcomes trials and challenges, including the legendary leap of faith, to reach the Grail before the Nazis and prevent them from using its power.
- Throughout the series, Indiana Jones faces countless life-threatening situations, from facing off against dangerous adversaries to escaping from collapsing temples and treacherous traps. His resourcefulness, intelligence, and bravery allow him to survive these encounters time and again.
- Despite the dangers involved in his adventures, Indiana Jones is passionate about preserving historical artifacts and ensuring they don't fall into the wrong hands. His knowledge and respect for history drive him to protect these treasures from those who would misuse them for power or profit.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He often charges into dangerous situations without fully thinking through the consequences. He can be impulsive and doesn't always consider the potential risks to himself or others.
- His determination and commitment to his goals can sometimes border on stubbornness. This can lead him to ignore advice or warnings from others, often resulting in precarious situations.
- He tends to bury his emotions, especially when it comes to personal matters or relationships. He often avoids confronting his feelings, preferring action and adventure over emotional introspection.
- He has a tendency to cling onto artifacts or treasures, even when it might be wiser to leave them behind. This attachment sometimes clouds his judgment and leads to further complications.
- He is also an unintentional womanizer, getting involved with women he meets before moving on to the next with little mention or regard of them such as Marion Ravenwood and Willie Scott.
- Taking in clear the aforementioned corrupting factors, he has way too many jerky moments to be Near Pure Good, and if that wasn't enough, he once wanted to be left behind in the 212 BC, which could have caused a time paradox. Jones, despite understanding this, at first he didn't care about it, so Helena had to knock him out to get him back to the present.
