~ Humpty's first and most famous quote |
Humpty Alexander Dumpty, also known as Humpty Dumpty, is the main antagonist of DreamWorks' 23rd full-length animated feature film Puss in Boots. He helped Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws to get the Golden Goose. Puss became his brother-like best friend when some orphanage bullies spun Humpty Dumpty around on the table and Puss stopped their act. He was voiced by Zach Galifianakis.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Even before his redemption he was very kind towards his friend/foster brother Puss, showed care towards his foster mother Imelda and treated Kitty Softpaws well, despite using her as a pawn.
- Even as a villain, he was mostly a thief, only becoming more heinous after being trenched by Puss.
- He helps Puss stop the Mother Goose from destroying San Ricardo and even sacrifices himself to do so even despite he's the one to be responsible for Mother Goose's coming.
- He apologizes to Puss for betraying him and redeems himself in his final moments.
- While Shrek has a decent admirable standard, Humpty himself still manages to stand out because he has little to no resources and he also plays a key role in saving the town.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He spends most of the film as a villain (and he's also currently approved as Inconsistenly Heinous with several villains even failing the heinous standards to him), and while he does redeem himself, he does it only in the end of his film, so it's logical that he has little to no time to show himself as a hero.
- It doesnât help that he fails to subvert some of his villainous traits
