What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy is a show where due to it's darkly comedic nature, almost every character who isn't a straight-up villain has too many moments of comedic sociopathy, being a jerk, or even temporarily switching into an antagonistic or villainous role, and Grim is no exception. For example:
- He's the literal Grim Reaper, meaning he's in charge of reaping the souls of the deceased and sending them to the underworld. Not to mention that there are several occasions that show him taking genuine enjoyment out of his job. In fact, in the episode "Anger Mismanagement", it is revealed that he was sent to anger management class for "enjoying his job too much".
- At the beginning of the episode "Sickly Sweet", he places gauntlets on Billy's arms, which causes them to be torn out of his arm sockets for reaching into the pockets of his robe for some chocolate, which is far too lethal.
- He regularly fantasizes about Billy and Mandy dying in horrible ways and has even tried to leave them for dead on certain occasions. On some occasions, he has even fantasized about killing them himself.
- In a way, he was responsible for Jack O’Lantern being a villain, as he cut off his head after Jack struck a deal with him to grant him immortality, simply because he did not like being bested and Jack kept pulling pranks, and he showed no remorse for it.
