Grim is is titular main protagonist of the Cartoon Network show, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. He is the skeleton Grim Reaper who was left bound to two annoying kids by the names of Billy and Mandy with sharks after losing to them in a game of limbo.

He was voiced by Greg Eagles.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • In "Mortal Dilemma", he temporarily abandons his job as the Grim Reaper to do some heroic deeds, such as saving a kid from falling into a ditch, stopping a robber from stealing an old woman's purse, saving a cat from being stuck up a tree, and stopping a driver from running over a group of schoolchildren.
  • In "Fiend is Like 'Friend' Without the 'R'", he goes back to the center of the Earth to rescue Billy and Mandy from being held captive by Nergal out of remorse for leaving them there.
  • In "Billy's Growth Spurt", he and Mandy prepare his Granny Grim's remedy to cure Billy of his sickness after eating too much junk food.
  • In "Tween Wolf", he releases a "were-flea" for it to bite Irwin after he has been transformed into a werewolf, therefore reverting him back to normal (albeit without his clothes).
  • In "Billy & Mandy's Jacked Up Halloween", he was one of the characters who helped defeat Jack O' Lantern and his pumpkin army, with Grim himself being the one to ultimately send him back to the underworld.
  • In "Dumb Luck", he and Mandy defeat the Catastrophe Snail by performing a wet willie that removes the snail from Billy's brain with him roasting it with his sycthe to cure Billy of his bad luck.
  • In "My Peeps", he and Mandy try to fix Billy's eyes by performing laser surgery.
  • In "Bearded Billy", he helped Mandy stop Hoss Delgado from capturing Billy after his father's hair tonic caused him to be mistaken for a sasquatch by exterminator.
  • In "The Nerve", he helps Mandy retrieve her nerve from Billy's brain.
  • In "Attack of the Clowns", he and Mandy helped Billy overcome his fear of clowns.
  • In "Wishbones", he wishes that Billy and Mandy never found Thromnambular, a wishing skull that causes disastrous results for anyone who makes a wish.
  • In "Scythe 2.0", he saves Billy and Mandy from being reaped by Sycthe 2.0.
  • In "My Fair Mandy", he protected Billy when reality began to collapse thanks to Mandy's smile.
  • In "Puddle Jumping", he and Mandy saved Billy from being baked into a pie by Granny Applecheeks.
  • In "A Grim Day", he defeated an army of giant lawn gnomes created by General Skarr using his scythe with the help of Mindy and Pud'n .
  • In "Billy & Mandy vs. the Martians", he, Billy, and Mandy saved the world from Morg.
  • In "Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure", he played the biggest role in saving the world from being eternally ruled by the Boogey Man.
  • In "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon", he, Billy, Mandy, and Sperg, stopped alien werewolves from stealing the Earth's supply of dairy products.
  • In "The Grim Adventures of the KND", he helps Numbuh 1 defeat the Delightful Reaper, stopping it from taking over the multiverse and assimilating everybody in it.
  • In "Underfist: Halloween Bash", he helped the titular team of superheroes stop Mr. Bun Bun from sending his army of candy monsters to eat every child in the world.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy is a show where due to it's darkly comedic nature, almost every character who isn't a straight-up villain has too many moments of comedic sociopathy, being a jerk, or even temporarily switching into an antagonistic or villainous role, and Grim is no exception. For example:
    • He's the literal Grim Reaper, meaning he's in charge of reaping the souls of the deceased and sending them to the underworld. Not to mention that there are several occasions that show him taking genuine enjoyment out of his job. In fact, in the episode "Anger Mismanagement", it is revealed that he was sent to anger management class for "enjoying his job too much".
    • At the beginning of the episode "Sickly Sweet", he places gauntlets on Billy's arms, which causes them to be torn out of his arm sockets for reaching into the pockets of his robe for some chocolate, which is far too lethal.
    • He regularly fantasizes about Billy and Mandy dying in horrible ways and has even tried to leave them for dead on certain occasions. On some occasions, he has even fantasized about killing them himself.
  • In a way, he was responsible for Jack O’Lantern being a villain, as he cut off his head after Jack struck a deal with him to grant him immortality, simply because he did not like being bested and Jack kept pulling pranks, and he showed no remorse for it.
