She is portrayed by Courteney Cox.
Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Admirable?[]
Scream (1996)[]
- Even though it was for selfish reasons, she tried to prove Cotton Weary's innocence after Billy Loomis and Stu Macher framed him for the murder of Maureen Prescott.
- She teamed up with Dewey to investigate the Woodsboro Murders and helped him find Neil Prescott's car.
- When she was trying to escape, she crashed her car to avoid hitting Sidney.
- After escaping from the crashed news van, she stole Stu's gun and managed to temporarily distract him and Billy, allowing Sidney to escape and gain the upper hand.
- She shot Billy in the chest right as he was about to kill Sidney.
Scream 2[]
- She investigated with Dewey and Randy to find the new Ghostface in the Windsor College Murders.
- She was genuinely concerned when Randy went missing and showed remorse after his death.
- Unlike the first film, she sought to stop Ghostface with genuine good intentions.
- She and Sidney shot Mickey to death when he came back for one last scare.
Scream 3[]
- She went to investigate the new murders caused by Roman Bridger.
- She got the cast of Stab 3 to leave Jennifer's house, which saved them as the house blew up alongside Tom.
- She defended Dewey from Jennifer.
- She tried to take the killer down with Dewey, Sidney, and Mark.
- She ran to save Sidney with Dewey, only to find Roman had been subdued already.
Scream 4[]
- After new murders started in Woodsboro, she instantly tried to look into them to find the killer.
- She recruited Robbie and Charlie to help her find the killer, unaware that Charlie was one of the Ghostfaces.
- She tried to catch the killer at Stab-a-thon.
- She realized Jill was the second killer after Jill mentioned them having matching wounds, even though the details of Gale's injuries were never revealed to the press, running to save Sidney and Dewey from her managing to distract Jill long enough for Sidney to fry her brains.
Scream (2022)[]
- After being informed by Dewey that there were more murders in Woodsboro, she came back to investigate and help Dewey.
- She and Sidney tried to convince Samantha Carpenter to help them catch Ghostface.
- She went to Stu Macher's old house to catch the killers and avenge Dewey.
Scream VI[]
- She went to New York after new murders started to find out who the killers were.
- She called Sidney regarding the new murders, even though she didn't show up and took her family into hiding.
- She tried to kill Ghostface when she was attacked.
- She asked Sam and Tara to not tell Sidney about her attack so that she wouldn’t come to New York because she deserves to have her happy ending.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She has many moments of arrogance and greed which are too prominent for her to be NPG, such as, writing a book about Maureen Prescott's death for nothing more than fame where she called Sidney a liar, originally only wanting to save Cotton's life because it would up her book sales, writing a book about the first Woodsboro Murders which contained insensitive depictions of Dewey, and writing a book about the 2022 murders despite promising not to where she called Sam unstable and a born-killer.
- She mistreated her first cameraman Kenny, such as telling him to "move [his] fat tub of lard ass" and sensationalising his death in her book by saying he was gutted when in actuality his throat was slashed.
- She has a sadistic moment where she and Sidney vengefully taunt Amber for killing Dewey and shoots her towards the stove and the two of them pretended to act horrified when she gets burned.
