“ | Well ya' might as well know so you spread the word about racism, it's a galaxy wide issue. A filthy concept. Honestly, if I see discrimination of any kind, I shoot 'em. The universe may be vast, but there is no room or excuse for it. One discriminatory comment and yer' done. People see it as harsh, I see it as cleaning. | „ |

- He respects any member of the Terrene Protectorate.
- He helped fight against Tatasia when she was trying to kill an ex-miniknog member who felt remorse, and stopped her from getting out of control.
- He (albeit unwillingly at first) took Katsu, Tori, Robin, Lexie, Nightheart and Tatasia under his wing once it was revealed they had no ships to go back to.
- He tracked down Desert when he was located in the Solunar Nexus killing dozens of innocent people, fought against him when and apprehended him so he wouldn't kill anyone else.
- After he explained his past to his soon to be crew, he began to trust them, as they grew on him. He then officially called them his crew, and became their captain.
- When Katsu offered him, he joined the protectorate and stopped being an outlaw.

- He substituted some of the stardust in the large container with gunpowder, then covered it up, tricking Xochtal into absorbing it without suspicion, and right as he did, he lit a match, which began destroying the staff once it was absorbed, then he shot the gem, blowing up the staff and killing Xochtal, ending his terror for good.

- He fought against Stormlance with Azima and Moonquill for quite some time, before the rest of the crew arrived.
- He eventually got into the backup plan after tricking Stormlance. After realising that the AI was going to destroy star systems if nobody controlled it, Ethyl decided to drive it into a star, sacrificing himself to save the universe from that omnicidal threat, and that so nobody could ever pilot it. He tells his crew to keep living on without him, and not to blame themselves.
- While Ethyl originally starts out as cold and untrusting, due of what Desert did to him, he later warms up to everyone and learns to trust his crew, growing to care for them.
- He has a sense of honour, as he is willing to put his weapons away and follow the rules of places, even if it means getting in the way of his goals. He also puts his gun away while in busy places, so he doesn’t disturb the peace or scare the public.
- Even after his death, he is still seen as a symbol of hope, in that anyone can become a hero.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Ethyl’s methods of fighting discrimination are very extremist. For example, him shooting people who discriminate, while well intentioned, is too extreme and lethal for him to quality as PG or NPG. And even outside of discrimination, Ethyl tends to be lethal in general, as he’s willing to kill his enemies without hesitation, only keeping them alive if he really has to. He even threatened Moonquill that he would detonate all of her ships if she didn’t let them go, and while that was for the safety of his crew, it was still a very lethal threat.
- He is willing to con, scam or rob innocent people to get pixels (aka money), even stating that he is good at manipulating people. Although, he mainly does this as a last resort to survive and make a living, and he did stop doing armed robberies due to them often getting people hurt.
- He endangered the mayor’s life by leaving him tied up in order to “preserve the scene” that he was a terrorist. Albeit, this is justified as it was done to save billions, and the mayor was being negligent.
