Dr. Emma Williams Russell is a supporting protagonist and anti-villain in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the third installment of the MonsterVerse franchise and a sequel to the 2014 Godzilla film, and a posthumous character in its 2021 crossover sequel Godzilla vs. Kong. She is also the main human protagonist of the prequel comic Godzilla: Aftershock.
She is the ex-wife of Mark Russell, mother of Madison Russell and the late Andrew Russell and a former Monarch scientist who originally works for Alan Jonah and his terrorist group, but after her son Andrew was lost during Godzilla's fight with the M.U.T.O.s in 2014, Russell became convinced that humanity was like a plague and that the Titans were the only way to restore nature to the Earth.
She was portrayed by Vera Farmiga.

- Deactivated the Orca when Ghidorah was about to attack her plane and kill her, Madison, Jonah and the others.
- Decided to stop Ghidorah when she realized he was going too far and wanted to wipe out humanity.
- Went looking for Madison to save her.
- Helped Mark and the other people from Monarch get to safety.
- Helped rescue Maddie from the rubbles of their fallen house.
- Activated the Orca to distract Ghidorah away from Godzilla, saving his life and allowing him to defeat Ghidorah.
- Sacrificed herself by luring Ghidorah away from the Osprey, saving Madison, Mark and the other people in Monarch.
- As revealed in the post credit scenes of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, her actions of releasing the Titans has brought positive effects to the world and improved wildlife.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She’s an anti-hero that formally work with Jonah and releasing Ghidorah and Rodman, causing millions of deaths. While she redeemed herself it is too corrupting for Near Pure Good.
- She caused damage to her family such as her husband and daughter, who was almost kidnapped due to her fault.
