~ Duncan to Chris McLean and his first words in the Total Drama franchise. |
Duncan is one of the protagonists and an anti-hero in the Total Drama series.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He found a new bunny for DJ because he didn't want DJ to have to go through the same thing he did when his pet went missing.
- He stood up for Lindsay when Heather betrayed her. After Heather told him that he shouldn't be talking because he's the one who likes scaring people, Duncan pointed out that while he may not always play by the rules himself, he's at least straight with others, and doesn't go back on his words.
- He saves Beth's life (despite being his adversary in the finale) from being crushed by a toilet.
- When he was about to fall to his death, tells Beth to go on without him after he gets crushed by a safe for her safety, was ready to sacrifice himself for her.
- Duncan saves Gwen from losing the challenge by taking a leech for her.
- Duncan warns Zoey about Mal so she can be aware of him.
- He even warns Gwen and Courtney about Mal, despite Courtney hating him, showing he prioritizes people’s safety.
- He also offers his help to protect them against Mal, although they didn't take him seriously.
- In You Regatta Be Kidding Me, Duncan saves Zoey, Cameron and Scott by turning off a dynamite bomb that was thrown by Chef.
- He warns Owen about Alejandro when he was in World Tour.
- Duncan comforted a depressed DJ that wanted to leave the show, telling him that he doesn't have to leave.
- In Crouching Courtney, Hidden Owen, he tried to teach Harold how to fight and actually makes a genuine attempt to get along with him, just before Chris makes Owen ruin their friendship.
- In Suckers Punched, he refused to hurt a bird in exchange of a point for his team, even calling out Chris for bringing a defenseless animal to fight. He also is genuinely happy to find her for a third time when he coincidentally met her again.
- He has committed other heroic acts.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He has too many jerkish moments to qualify as NPG, such as when he bullied, pranked and harassed Harold for fun alongside DJ and Geoff. He is shown to also display arrogance throughout most of the seasons.
- He cheats on Courtney with Gwen, destroying the budding friendship between the two (although Courtney wasn’t treating him well), he still took jerkish pride on it.
- He is too mischievous, such as when he blew up Chris’s mansion in so he could still be seen as a “Bad Boy”.
- However it is a very weak prevention as Chris deserved it for tortmenting the contestants including Duncan while he stayed in his cottage.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Inconsistently Admirable of Total Drama.
