His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- After his wife Martha died from the human villagers. He dedicated his life as a single father to protect their daughter Mavis at all costs, and made a hotel for monsters to keep them safe.
- He loves his daughter Mavis very much, and doesn't wanna let anything to happen to her, or have her leave him.
- He was planning the best 118th birthday party for Mavis.
- Despite being at odds towards Johnny trying to get rid of him at first. He eventually warmed up to him, and allowed Mavis to be his zing once he realized humans aren't like they used to be.
- He went to go find Johnny, and bring him back to Mavis risking getting burnt by the sun to reach the plane he was on.
- He got over being so overprotective of Mavis, and told her to go build her own paradise.
- He congratulated Mavis on marrying Johnny, and sang a wonderful song to his daughter at their wedding.
- He was happy when Dennis was born, and enjoyed having fun moments with him as his grandfather.
- He knew that Dennis was going to be half-vampire, and even though he put him in danger. It was not anything malicious.
- He stopped his father from possessing Cakey when it went too far for Dennis to grow his vampire fangs.
- He felt remorse for putting Dennis in danger, and went to go find him with the others when he had ran away.
- He fought off Bela's bat cronies with his vampire strength, speed, and intelligence to protect his family.
- He happily celebrated Dennis's birthday, and danced with his father to the music.
- He defeated Abraham Van Helsing multiple times during the events before he built the hotel to protect monsters, and had a family, even telling him that he can just let go of the hate, instead of obsessing on killing monsters.
- He helped the prickly monster couple get married with Mavis's help.
- When Mavis booked a monster cruise so he could take a vacation from being stressed out so much. He was happy that she did so, and thanked her for it.
- He enjoyed spending time with his family on the cruise, and zinged again in his life with Captain Ericka.
- Even though he was nervous to tell Mavis about zinging again, and lied to her. Eventually he told her the truth, and to not hurt Ericka, despite the fact that he couldn't see through her trying to kill him.
- When Abraham Van Helsing appeared at the dance party, and unleashed the giant kraken. He tried to fend off the larger monster to protect his family saying "this has to stop now", but failed to defeat it.
- He, and Johnny used positive music to go against the music Abraham Van Helsing was using to control the kraken.
- He saved Abraham Van Helsing from falling to his death, despite how ruthless he was trying to get rid of all monsters.
- He happily married Ericka after she said yes for the engagement.
- After he got transformed into a human, and Johnny got transformed into a monster. He alongside him went to South America to transform back into their normal selves.
- When Johnny encouraged him to embrace the positive side of things. He eventually looked at the brighter side of life, and used the same words Johnny gave to him to free him from his possessed monster state.
- When the hotel got destroyed from Gigi. He allowed Johnny to take over the hotel, and rebuild it however he wants.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is an extremist and a control freak, as he lied to Mavis in all four films, such as being overprotective of her, putting his grandson Dennis in danger by dropping him from a tower to grow his vampire fangs (though he felt remorse for doing this, making it a minor prevention), going back to not trusting Johnny to take over the hotel that he made for monsters (although in this case it was due to Johnny almost killing himself several times and stressing Drac out), and hypnotize Dennis and Winnie so they won't tell anyone, such as his daughter Mavis what he is up to.
- He is too jerkish and arrogant, where he make selfish choices always thinking that the things he does is right when clearly other's ideas are important as well, especially Johnny's, or Mavis's ideas.
- Dracula had also lied to Johnny about being a "monster real-estate law" in fear of what Johnny would do to his Hotel, which shows that Dracula can be quite selfish. This also made him cause the main conflict that happens of Johnny becoming a dragon monster, nearly losing his own self with it in the process.
