Dr. Samuel Loomis is the deuteragonist of the Rob Zombie Halloween duology. Like his original counterpart, he is Michael’s psychiatrist and seeks to stop him from killing innocent people.
He is portrayed by Malcolm McDowell.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable[]
Halloween[]
- Spent the majority of Michael’s life taking care of him
- Before leaving, he encouraged Michael to take care
- Upon learning that Michael had escaped, he contacted Sheriff Bracket so that he could stop him
- Stopped Michael from coming closer to Laurie.
Halloween II[]
- In the theatrical cut, he helped Brackett get a clear shot at Michael, resulting in him shooting Michael and causing him to be impaled on some equipment and be finished off by Laurie, albeit at the cost of his own life.
- In the director’s cut, he lured Michael out of the shed, resulting in Brackets team shooting him
What Makes Him Inconsistent[]
- Although he eventually feels remorse for it and even sacrifices himself in order to stop Michael, he still spent majority the second film being a callous, abrasive, and greedy jerk who exploited the people Michael killed just so his book could get more sales while also traumatizing Laurie further by revealing in the book that she and Michael were siblings.
