Doomguy referred to as Doom Marine, Doom Slayer or Slayer in the 2016 reboot and Doom Eternal and simply Doom in Quake III, is the titular main protagonist of the Doom video game franchise.

- Destroyed all of Argent energy generators despite Samuel Hayden asking him not to do so because Argent energy was the only way for humanity to overcome energy crisis. It can be assumed that he did it because he hated the demons so much that he doesn't really care how Hell's energy will benefit humanity or he could consider Argent energy too dangerous for humans, so his motives for that are unknown.
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
DOOM[]
- When his commander ordered him to execute innocent civilians, he punched that commander, which shows that he has honor and standards.
- In the first DOOM game he destroyed all demons on Phobos and Deimos and then he went to Hell itself and killed Spider Mastermind.
- Genuinely loved his pet rabbit Daisy, which was killed by demons and her death made him hate demons even more.
DOOM II: Hell on Earth[]
- Stopped the demon invasion of Earth.
DOOM 64[]
- Stayed in Hell to ensure that another demon invasion won't happen again.
Doom 2016[]
- Destroyed demon forces on Mars during DOOM 2016 events.
Doom Eternal[]
- During DOOM Eternal he killed Hell's priests and later Icon of Sin, which saved the Earth from demons once more.
- In the Ancient Gods Part 2 he killed Davoth, whose death destroyed all demons who were not in Hell, which has completely stopped demon invasions for all of eternity.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Calling Doomguy too lethal is an understatement by all measures as he mercilessly mutilates and dismembers all sorts of demons he faces. However, given that demons are absolutely irredeemable and atrocious monsters who murder and horrendously tortures their victims, this is in fact is a fairly minor prevention.
- Instead of letting Samur resurrect The Father, he opposed him and decided to resurrect Davoth himself. Even though he did so in order to kill him and end the demon threat for good, it was still risky since if Davoth in the end killed Slayer, then the demons would be victorious.
- Despite his good intentions, his actions can be questionable. While he did fulfill the Betrayer’s request to kill his son, who had become the Icon of Sin, and free it from the Maykrs’ control by placing the dagger into the Icon’s heart, it still led to massive destruction on Earth, however given that he had no knowledge about the consequences in the slightest makes this a minor prevention.
