Dibert "Dib" Membrane is the main antagonist of the Nickelodeon animated series Invader Zim, and the main protagonist of the 2019 Netflix film Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus.
He is a young, eccentric boy fascinated with unexplained paranormal phenomena and the supernatural and occult who develops a suspicion-turned-rivalry with Zim after the latter transfers into his class, being the only person who recognizes Zim's true identity as an alien.
He is voiced by Andy Berman.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He Investigates the foreign objects that ended up replacing the organs of several kids and attempting to stop Zim once he found out he was behind it all in "Dark Harvest".
- In "Career Day" He tries to convince Bill to help him expose Zim.
- Teaming up with Zim to stop a gigantic Peepi from destroying the city in "Hamstergeddon".
- He helped stop Tak from extracting the Earth's core.
- He saved his classmates from being permanently stuck in a room with nothing but a moose in it.
- He stopped Zim from hurling Mars into Earth and killing all life on it's surface in "Battle of the Planets".
- He placed a spy camera in Zim's lair to capture evidence that he is an alien in "Zim Eats Waffles".
- He starts Running in the school election against Zim who joined in an attempt to gain more power in "The Voting of the Doom".
- He launched the Santa suit created by Zim in an attempt to take over the world into space in "The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever".
- Alongside his sister Gaz, he rescued his father while he was in Moo-ping 10.
- He, Gaz, Professor Membrane, Clembrane and also Mini Moose (in a way) saved Earth from being destroyed by Zim, the Irken Armada and the Florpus.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- In both cartoon and comic series, he has committed several selfish or even immoral deeds to reach his own goals, such cursing his own sister so that everything she eats tastes like pork for the sole purpose of seeing what the spell's effects are. (Though he tries his best to reverse it)
- He fantasizes about dissecting Zim for fame and fortune. While Zim is a villain, this is too sadistic for Dib to be NPG.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Invader Zim hero to be Inconsistently Admirable.
- Dib’s video game counterpart doesn’t count since he is a member of the Evil Syndicate (the main antagonists of Nicktoons: Unite, & Globs of Doom). This was only because Zim joined the heroes' team, as Zim is the protagonist of his show, though not its hero. If anyone, Dib should be on heroes' side, even though he is an antagonist with a neutral alignment.
- Originally in the 1999 Pilot, Dib had plans to dissecting Zim’s organs which even creeped Gaz out and had no problem blasting his own classmates who got stuck onto Zim’s suit, and according to the IP bible for Invader Zim, he constantly used Gaz as a lab rat for a lot of experiments that would hurt or humiliate her had this been kept in, he would been a full blown villain.
