Dibert "Dib" Membrane (known as Fred in the French version) is the main antagonist of the Invader Zim franchise, and the main protagonist of the 2019 Netflix film Enter the Florpus.
He is a young, eccentric boy fascinated with unexplained paranormal phenomena and the supernatural and occult who develops a suspicion-turned-rivalry with Zim after the latter transfers into his class, being the only person who recognizes Zim's true identity as an alien.
He is voiced by Andy Berman.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- Investigating the foreign objects that ended up replacing the organs of several kids and attempting to stop Zim once he found out he was behind it all in "Dark Harvest".
- Trying to convince Bill to help him expose Zim in "Career Day".
- Teaming up with Zim to stop a gigantic Peepi from destroying the city in "Hamstergeddon".
- Helped stop Tak from extracting the Earth's core.
- Stopping Zim from hurling Mars into Earth and killing all life on it's surface in "Battle of the Planets".
- Placing a spy camera in Zim's lair to capture evidence that he is an alien in "Zim Eats Waffles".
- Running in the school election against Zim who joined in an attempt to gain more power in "The Voting of the Doom".
- Launching the Santa suit created by Zim in an attempt to take over the world into space in "The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever".
- Rescuing his father while he was in Moo-ping 10.
- Saving the Earth from being destroyed by the Irken Armada and the Floorpus.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- In both cartoon and comic series, he has committed several selfish or even immoral deeds to reach his own goals, such as when he cursed his own sister so that everything she ate tasted like pork for the sole purpose of seeing what the spell's effects were.
- He fantacizes about dissecting Zim for fame and fortune. While Zim is a villain, this is too sadistic for Dib to be PG or NPG.
- In Globs of Doom video game, he sided with the Syndicate instead of Nicktoons' heroes simply because Zim is on their side. Dib helped the team to defeat Globulous Maximus afterwards betrayed the heroes (despite not conspiring with them) and then fought SpongeGlob but lost. In the bad ending, however, SpongeGlob, Zim and the heroes gets put in a jar and continues working with the Evil Syndicate thus revealing his more villainous side.
Trivia[]
- He is the only Invader Zim hero to be Inconsistently Admirable.
- Dib was a member of the Evil Syndicate (the main antagonists of Nicktoons: Unite, & Glob of Doom). This was only because Zim joined the heroes' team, as Zim is the protagonist of his show, though not its hero. If anyone, Dib should be on heroes' side, even though he is an antagonist with a neutral alignment.
