“ | It is in my nature to do what is selfless. My Brother's will always be to do what is selfish. | „ |
~ The Daughter's last words after succumbing to the injury she took for her Father and before serving as a channel for Anakin to revive Ahsoka. |
The Daughter was a Force-sensitive woman aligned with the light side of the Force who was part of a powerful Force Family called The Ones.
She is voiced by Adrienne Wilkinson.
Her Good Ranking[]
What Makes Her Admirable?[]
- Prior to the story arc, she stayed loyal towards the Father while the Son wandered off towards his selfish desires.
- When she heard that the Chosen One has been found, she tries to bring Anakin to the Father.
- Even though she transformed into a griffin and captured Obi-Wan Kenobi in an attempt to test Anakin and was ordered to kill him, unlike her brother, she was very reluctant in doing so.
- After the Son wounded the Father, she went and cured him.
- Although she refused to help the Jedi in stopping her brother, this is because she is willing to accept that he is the embodiment of the Dark Side and she can do nothing about it even if she did have a choice.
- She showed Obi-Wan the weapon he can use to defeat her brother for good. And when the Son interfered, she fights him until the Father intervenes.
- She sacrifices herself to prevent the Son from killing her father and escaping Mortis.
- In her dying moments, she resurrects a corrupted Ahsoka back from the dead upon Anakin's request. Due to this, she is not only responsible for the rest of her good deeds onwards as she lives on through Ahsoka, but her influence allows her to subvert almost all of her corrupting qualities and overall making her a more mature warrior. Afterwards, she continues accompanying her in her journey through an owl known as Morai.
- In Rebels, she guides Ezra Bridger into the World Between Worlds when he discovers the Lothal Temple.
- Despite her being depicted as a mural, she still shows sentience since she's aware of Ezra's presence and enlightens the temple once she is activated.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- She has severe moral agency issues due to being the pure embodiment of the Light Side of the Force, meaning she can only do what is right and cannot do what is wrong since it is in her nature to be good. She also displays zero personality beyond her nature since she says it is in her nature to do what is selfless, which is proof that she cannot have free will. Not to mention, in Rebels when Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger opened the portal in the Lothal temple, the Daughter is shown saying almost the exact same words religious Gods in real life say concerning time, thus ultimately making her too conflicting and controversial of a choice for PG or NPG.
Trivia[]
- She is a very rare example of Inconsistently Admirable with no real corrupting qualities, making her the polar opposite of Inconsistently Heinous that are too comedic, amoral, sympathetic or one-dimensional with no redeeming qualities. She shares this alongside Master Hand.
