The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon[]
Season 1[]

- He defended Maribelle and her grandfather from Michel Codron and Henri after they got violent with the girl, although Daryl couldn't understand what they were saying exactly as he doesn't speak French.
- He came back to defend the Abbey from Stephane Codron and his men after realizing that the nuns were in trouble.
- He risked everything to deliver Laurent to the Nest, even taking the boy by himself when there was no one else to take him.
- While Daryl initially only went to a castle occupied by a man who was terrorizing children for the horse that the man had, he also got medicine for the children's teacher despite knowing that it wouldn't do her any good. He also rescued a teenager that the man had imprisoned in the castle who had been believed to be dead by his friends.
- After discovering the brother of one of the children in a walker moat, he shot the brother with his crossbow, saving the boy's friend from the anguish of having to put him down.
- He was kind to T.J. in Maine, befriending the boy and offering him advice and help rather than the ridicule that T.J. faced from the other men.
Season 2[]
- He chose to give up his chance to go home to save Laurent from a walker horde and returned him to the Nest.
- He trained Laurent to survive, but also treated him like a normal kid, which the people at the Nest refused to do and which Laurent greatly appreciates.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He can be very violent and impulsive.
- He tried to kill Jim when he was bitten without any approval on the decision.
- He tried to kill Edwin when they were trapped despite there being no way for them to escape if he did.
- His angry outburst towards Negan led directly to Glenn's death.
- He gunned down an innocent worker who wasn't even involved in the Saviors' conflict.
- He immediately killed Morales when they reunited, albeit while Morales was holding Rick at gunpoint and planning to kill him.
- He released a horde of walkers on the Sanctuary, leading to the Saviors escaping as well as several deaths.
- He loudly berated Isabelle for her lies and secrets, inadvertently revealing many of them to Laurent who subsequently ran away as a result.
- He brutally tortured Armand for information on where Laurent was taken and then abandoned him to die after the man told Daryl how to sneak in, albeit after Armand had badly broken his foot trying to escape and thus could not run from the approaching walkers.
- He nearly beat Quinn to death while rescuing Laurent, but ultimately relented and just knocked him out after noticing that the boy was watching him.
- After realizing that Juno had remorselessly murdered his new friend T.J. simply to get a quart of ethanol, Daryl violently assaulted him, getting them both into trouble.
- He sometimes lacks empathy towards others and can be very cold and ruthless.
- After discovering that Sophia had been dead for weeks, he distanced himself from the group, ridiculed the meaningless search, and insulted Rick for not realizing earlier that Shane had killed Otis, pointing out how obvious it was. However, a lot of this behavior appeared to be Daryl lashing out due to his own hurt at not being able to save the little girl after trying so hard to find her rather than any real cruelty.
- He showed a complete lack of care for Randall's fate when they were deciding and even brutally tortured him when he was held hostage in the barn.
- He went on a drunken tangent towards Beth and mocked her for her suicide attempt.
- He made some morally-dubious decisions.
- He was completely willing to leave Noah to die, though Noah did rob them and try to leave them for dead. However, it's worth noting he only did so because he thought he was being followed by Daryl and Carol. Despite having a good reason, Daryl was completely fine with letting him get devoured by walkers.
- He led Rick away from the communities so Maggie could kill Negan. This led him to his supposed death as he got impaled on rebar and sacrificed himself, blowing up the bridge to prevent walkers from overrunning the communities.
- He lied to the children in France about getting medicine from a nearby castle because he needed their help to get a horse. However, Daryl did so knowing that the medicine wouldn't help their dying teacher anyways. He ultimately did get the medicine anyways, but the group returned too late for it to be of any use. Daryl apologized for this deception even though he didn't have to.
