Daenerys Targaryen, also known as The Mother of Dragons and Daenerys Stormborn, is one of the main characters of the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series and its television adaption Game of Thrones.
Daenerys is one of the last members of the exiled House Targaryen. She is the only daughter of King Aerys II Targaryen and Queen Rhaella Targaryen, and the younger sister of Crown Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Viserys Targaryen. Born during the end of Robert's Rebellion, Daenerys was smuggled across the Narrow Sea with her brother, Viserys, to the Free City of Braavos. After Darry died of old age, the two were forced to flee from one city to another to avoid her King Robert I Baratheon's assassins. At some point of the story, Viserys made her his heir, and after his death, Daenerys inherits his claim to the Iron Throne and begins plotting to take it back from the people that forced her family out decades before as the "rightful heir" of House Targaryen. She later becomes known as the "Mother of Dragons", after she caused the hatching of three of the creatures.
In the TV series, after years of trauma, loss and treachery, Daenerys slowly starts to lose her sanity and embrace the so-called "Targaryen Madness", becoming the final antagonist of the TV show.
She is portrayed by Emilia Clarke.

What Makes Her Admirable?[]
- Helped her cruel brother Viserys to get an army by marrying Khal Drogo, even though Drogo used her as a sex object.
- Saved Viserys from a deadly punishment from the Dothrakis.
- Tried to save Jorah Mormont when Viserys threatened him at sword-point, even Viserys could have killed her.
- Used her power to prohibit the Dothrak warriors from captured women.
- Tried to help the wounded Khal Drogo by giving him to a witch heal him with a spell. However she was shocked to realize the spell passed without healing Drogo.
- Kills Drogo as a mercy killing and executes the witch who paralyzed him.
- Came with three dragon's eggs to the bonfire of Drogo to mourn. This also caused the eggs to hatch.
- Took care for her dragon babies like a mother.
- Search for help for her people when they were starving in the Red Waste, until she came through Qarth's gates.
- When her dragons were stolen by Pyat Pree and Irri was dead, she was saddened and took it upon herself to go alone to the House of the Undying, which caught her in chains.
- Got ships and gold to all her people.
- Offers water to a dying slave (but he refused).
- Freed many Unsullied's soldiers from Kraznys mo Nakloz and bought Missandei. She also avenge him for his help preserve slavery.
- Gave the Unsullied the right to bring back their names and gave them freedom.
- When Daario Naharis killed the captains that wanted her dead, she wasn't Impressed, but she gave Daario the chance to fight for her.
- Freed all of Yunkai's slaves.
- On the road to Meereen, she ordered for all the crucified slaves to have proper burrials.
- Prohibited slavery in Meereen.
- When her dragon killed a herd of goats she compensated the shepard with money.
- Locks two of her dragons in a room after the third killed a little girl.
- Confessed the truth that her father was evil.
- Tried to give a trial to a captured Son of the Harpy and execute his murderer even though he was a freed slave.
- Was devastated after Ser Barristan Selmy was murdered by the Sons of the Harpy.
- When Tyrion Lannister brought Jorah Mormont back to her, she give Jorah a second chance to work for her again.
- Saved Ornela when Daario threatened her life.
- Ordered to Jorah to find himself a cure for himself when he told her he had Greyscale.
- Helped to finish the Siege of Meereen and punish the The Wise Masters.
- Cooperating with Jon Snow - the King in the North and agree to help him free the north from the white walkers.
- Before she did this she allowed Jon to mine dragonglass in Dragonstone. She even takes down the conditioning that John joins in kneeling to her (though he did anyway)
- Got revenge the Lannister army for Ellaria Sand, Yara Greyjoy and Olenna Tyrell.
- Saved all her delegation men when they attacked by whites.
- Agreed to a ceasefire with Cersei for fighting together in the great war against the night king.
- Came to talk gently with Sansa Stark.
- Helped the north in the Battle of Winterfell with her dragons.
- Tearfully mourned for Jorah after he was killed.
- Thanked Arya Stark for kill the Night king.
- Legitimized Gendry, which brought back house Baratheon.
- Tried to negotiate with Cersei before she executed Missandei. much to her dismay.
- She genuinely loved Jon even after she went mad and plead for him to join her in her new cause rather than kill him.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- In the eighth season she became a villain and had Drogon burn most of King's Landing and killed numerous defenseless people.
- Even as a hero, she also behaved with suspicion and vindictiveness even towards her allies like Tyrion.
- She was also very impulsive in some moments, which put her allies in danger, as it happened on Qarth's gates.
- She was very deadly, even when she punished bad men.
