Claude is the main protagonist of the 2001 action-adventure game Grand Theft Auto III and a minor antagonist in its 2004 prequel Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Very little is specifically known about Claude's past and his personality, as Claude himself doesn't speak at all in any of the games and never reveals any details about himself.
Despite being mute and never speaking in any of his appearances, Hunter Platin provides the grunts, and pain sounds of the character.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- When a group of terrorists blow up a bridge and kill the police protecting a van of prisoners, he helps Luigi with bringing Misty to his club and killing pimps/Diablos.
- Helped Joey Leone with bringing cars and driving Toni Cipriani to his home.
- Saves Maria Latore from being arrested or even killed in a raid by the police department.
- Killed Curly Bob for betraying the Leone Mafia.
- To stop a shipment of SPANK, a very dangerous drug which killed hundreds and turned people into suicide bombers, Claude and 8-Ball blew up the ship that carried it.
- Despite killing Salvatore Leone, it isn't really a heinous act as Leone planted a bomb under the car which Claude was supposed to drive.
- Saved the Oriental Gentleman from being abducted by the Cartel.
- Protected Ray Machowski from being killed by CIA agents when being transported to his plane flight.
- Fought back against Catalina's Death Squad/Suicide Bombers.
- Took an airplane full of SPANK and destroyed it.
- In "The Exchange" he finally takes down Catalina, saving Maria from being a hostage, and taking down her drug operation, stopping people from becoming suicide bombers and people being poisoned by the drug.
- Can optionally do multiple heroic deeds such as killing SPANKed mad-men, driving D-ice's rigged car to a safe place, and being a Paramedic, Firefighter, Taxi Driver, and Vigilante.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He does several heinous actions on the orders of torturous crime lords, and he can optionally do a side mission where he kills several people and feigns it as food for people to eat.
- He is a major pragmatist as he has NO problem killing Kenji to start a war on the orders of Donald Love.
- A lot of his good actions were done under someone's orders, making him hero by proxy.
- He is insufficiently characterized as he has no speaking lines, and his only motivations are simple: revenge, vengeance, and greed.
- He is known to break various laws ranging from Theft to Domestic Terrorism mostly on his free will throughout his appearances.
- It is heavily implied that he killed Maria Latore for being annoying in the final mission.
- It is very doubtful, though, considering that he decided to risk own life and bring money to Catalina just to receive even a small opportunity to save Maria from Cartel's clutches, so this is very unlikely that he actually killed her just for being too talkative afterwards. However, the final of the game is still up to interpetations.
