Catra is the deuteragonist of 2018 Netflix original series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, a reboot of 1985 Filmation series She-Ra: Princess of Power. She is the villainous deuteragonist-turned-final antagonist in the first season, the secondary antagonist in the second season, the deuteragonist-turned-main antagonist of the third season, the central antagonist in the fourth season and the deuteragonist in the fifth season. She is Adora/She-Ra's childhood friend, former arch-rival and later girlfriend.
She was once a Cadet before she quickly promoted as a Force Captain after Adora's defection to the Rebellion. However, she becomes a second-in-command to the Horde after Shadow Weaver's imprisonment. In the fifth and final season, she eventually reforms and joined the Rebellion against the Horde Prime. She also reconciled with Adora and began a relationship with her in the series finale.
She is voiced by AJ Michalka.

What Makes Her Admirable?[]
- She was Adora's childhood friend, always hanging out with her and bringing out wonderful and joyful memories together. Despite their rivalry and being overshadowed by Adora, she still cares about her and support her.
- Despite being cold and distant towards them, she does cared for both Scorpia (such as sharing a blanket for both, tries to protect Scorpia by forbidding her to rescue her and being grateful for her help) and Entrapta (such as tries to protect her from Hordak's wrath).
- She and Adora worked together to survive in the Crystal Castle, before turning on her after seeing her memories.
- Even though Hordak ordered her to send Shadow Weaver to Beast Island, she refused and tries to protect her while forming a bond with her, only for Shadow Weaver to betray her trust and then escape from Fright Zone. This kind of mistake led her into getting harshly punished by Hordak as result.
- Expresses her remorse over her abusive treatment towards Scorpia and Entrapta, especially when she felt bad of zapping Entrapta and sending her to Beast Island, and was horrified after reading Scorpia's goodbye letter to the Horde.
- Saved Etheria from being destroyed and Glimmer from being killed by Horde Prime by informing him that Etheria is a superweapon of the First Ones. While she partially did it for self-serving purposes, she still did it to an extent out of altruistic intentions, as she did not wish for her planet to die.
- During her time on Horde Prime's ship, she becomes remorseful over what she has done in the past and wanted to make it up for it.
- While she wanted to gain Prime's favor at first, she later becomes visibly disturbed by his cruelty and ruthlessness which leads her to turn back on him by rescuing Glimmer and send her to Adora and the others.
- After forming a bond with Glimmer due to their strong connection with Adora, she finally getting her chance to do a right thing. She helped Glimmer escaped from Horde Prime's ship and sacrifice herself, even if it means facing Prime's punishment for insubordination.
- Despite knowing it would cause her great pain, Catra still used her connection to Horde Prime through her ship to see what he was planning, and told Adora about his plans to brainwash all of Etheria.
- After Entrapta removed the chip from her, she became grateful over this and apologized for sending her to Beast Island.
- She told the group to come up with a plan to find Horde Prime's weakness, instead of rushing in without a plan.
- She helped in calming down Melog and took him in as her companion.
- She told the Best Friend Squad what Melog was saying and revealed that magic was Horde Prime's weakness.
- She convinced Melog to use his abilities to turn their ship invisible so they could get through Horde Prime's blockade and get to Etheria.
- Though she doesn't want anything to do with the Rebellion at first due to her past issues, she eventually decided to joined it for real because she realized of how she felt when Adora, Glimmer and Bow did cared and sympathizing her, thus redeeming herself as result.
- She helped in freeing Erelandia from Horde Prime's forces.
- Comforted Netossa about her wife being chipped by Horde Prime.
- Though she was scoffed about saving Scorpia from being chipped at first, Perfuma reminded Catra how she cruelly treated her, which she became regretful over this kind of treatment.
- Complimenting Perfuma on how Scorpia was lucky to have a friend like her.
- Jumped into the hologram of fire and saved Adora from being "burned".
- Tried to stop Adora from taking the fail-safe to sacrifice herself to stop Horde Prime along with the others.
- Though she was about to leave the Rebellion and refused to go back due to Shadow Weaver's machinations and Adora's decision of taking the fail-safe, she decided to return and help them after finding out that Horde Prime was hacking into Etheria.
- Went to warned Adora about what Horde Prime is doing but only to find Shadow Weaver here all alone.
- Decided to stay with Adora to help her use the Heart of Etheria and entrusted Melog to get Bow and Glimmer there safe and sound.
- Allowing both Adora and Shadow Weaver to get to the Heart of Etheria by dealing with the First Ones security monster.
- She and Adora begging Shadow Weaver to get away from the First Ones security monster, but it was too late since she already sacrificed herself to finish the monster off by herself. They also mourned her death as well.
- When Adora asked her to leave, but Catra refuses and still stay with her.
- Pleading Adora not to give up and confesses her love as well before they kissed, allowing Adora to regained her ability to transformed into She-Ra. Their love has effectively activated the fail-safe, destroyed the Heart of Etheria, and healing the entire Etheria. This allowed She-Ra to defeat Horde Prime once and for all.
- Attempts to apologize to Scorpia before she quickly forgave her and even gave her a hug, showing that she's happy that they truly became best friends.
- At the end of the series, Catra and the rest of the Best Friend Squad decided to help in bringing magic back to the universe.
What Makes Her Inconsistent?[]
- Despite her redemption, Catra still has many moments of being too jerkish, arrogant, wrathful, mischievous and somewhat anti-heroic.
