Mentally Ill Inconsistently Admirable heroes are heroes who suffer from some sort of mental disorder that affects their personality and behavior. Even though they are often so mentally unstable and unbalanced that their deranged behaviors have caused harm or trouble, they can still perform admirable acts of heroism, despite their limited sanity and their limited views on reality.

• Terence, who suffers from Antisocial personality disorder and shows some symptoms of schizophrenia.
• Katsuki Bakugo, who has intermittent explosive disorder and narcissistic personality disorder.
• Guts, who suffers from PTSD.
• Iron Man, who has an PTSD due to his near-death experience at the end of The Avengers.
• Anakin Skywalker, who has borderline personality disorder.
• Nagito Komaeda, who admits to suffering from frontotemporal dementia.
• Cloud Strife, who suffers from PTSD.
• L Lawliet, who displays several symptoms of Asperger syndrome.
