Inconsistently Admirable heroes who are permanently dead. This also includes ghosts that were banished to the spirit world as well. Undeads can't count unless they are also killed for good (e.g. Scorpion, Itachi Uchiha, and Hector Barbossa). There are plenty of those heroes who are deceased who are Saved Souls as well (e.g. Luke Skywalker, Reaper, and General Arcturus).
This category should only include heroes that are truly gone forever rather than ones who have "died", then later returned/got revived, though a character can count if they are revived but die for good afterwards (e.g. Asura and Sentinel Prime).
Various means how a hero died/remained dead includes:
- Violent death: A hero winds up killed in a violent or disturbing way, such as fatally incinerated by an explosion, mutilated alive, eaten/mauled alive, impaled, completely dissolved, decapitated, etc. Usually the hero is completely taken by surprise and doesn't have the time to react. However those with enhanced senses usually manage to avoid that kind of death. (e.g. Joel Miller, King Leonidas, Scorpion, Dr. Samuel Loomis, Jaime Lannister, Dinobot, Stain, Batman, Abraham Ford, Mace Windu, Omni-Man, Itachi Uchiha, Kirumi Tojo, Harry Osborn and Jotaro Kujo).
- Died with honor: The hero has accepted the fact that their demise is inevitable and had enough dignity to face it. Many of the heroes who died in this way are honorable ones. Thus, circumstances were includes:
- Chooses to die: Often as a heroic sacrifice, a hero decides to allow themselves to perish in varying circumstances instead of being saved in order to grant others a chance at victory, to protect their loved ones or to atone for a previous mistake, often seen with redeemed villains (e.g. Anakin Skywalker, Seong Gi-Hun, Asriel Dreemurr, Dinosaurus, Albus Dumbledore, Megatron, Lee Everett, Booker DeWitt and Sasha Williams).
- Accepts Death: Wise heroes who at the end of their lives decide to accept their deaths as part of their destiny and without sadness (e.g. Caesar, Arthur Morgan, Luke Skywalker, Henry Emily and Severus Snape).
- Fought until death: Heroes who fought with honor in order to avenge, protect or defend themselves, fighting until the very end of their lives (e.g. Oliver Queen, Satoru Gojo, Wolverine and Godzilla).
- Suicide: These heroes have chosen to put an end to their lives. Reasons are various but mostly include depression, being heartbroken, or in order to avoid a fate worse than death, or in best case scenarios, to prevent something bad from happening. (e.g. Inspector Jarvert, Strange Supreme, Cho Sang-Woo, Doc Ock and Jetfire).
- Martyrdom: Martyrs who give their lives for a cause being willing to surrender their very existences somehow in order to save the day, often through a heroic sacrifice by giving their own life so that others can live or by allowing themselves to be killed by a villain or other means so that other heroes can succeed (e.g. Iron Man, Soundwave, Daughter, Viggo Grimborn, Terminator, Zeus, Obito Uchiha, Emma Russell, Bing Bong, Asura, Jack Kennedy, Lex Luthor, Leone, Deker, Erwin Smith and V).
- Died in disgrace: Not many heroes died in disgrace. However, this can apply to fallen heroes who are not willing to face the consequences of their acts and were not redeemed upon their death. (e.g. Light Yagami, Sentinel Prime, Martin Brenner, Professor Gerald Robotnik, Daenerys Targaryen, Dr. James Sheridan and Harvey Dent).
- Dying from an illness: In this case the hero has succumbed to a deadly disease that the hero failed to cure in time (e.g. Johnny Joestar and Arthur Morgan). This also includes heroes that died from natural causes (e.g. Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Sam Winchester and Egon Spengler).
- Destruction/Deactivation: Exclusively for robots or machines that were destroyed/deactivated permanently (e.g. Hexadecimal, MePhone4S, and Zero).
- Died off-screen: In many cases, certain heroes have met their fate onscreen. But, in this case, the hero's death was not shown but was mentioned by a character that they met their fate when no one else was there to see it. Usually seen with posthumous characters with a huge impact on the story (e.g. Rose Quartz, Michael Afton, Dean Winchester, and Tobirama Senju).
Their counterparts are Deceased Inconsistently Heinous.
