And I'm not helping Mario just to save a bunch of worlds. I'm only doing it so I can rule someday. So don't get all cuddly with me, Mario!
~ Paper Bowser admits he will help Paper Mario defeat Count Bleck, but only because he knows if Count Bleck destroys the multiverse, there will be nothing to rule over.
It's not a sense of justice. Figuring out difficult cases is my hobby. If you measured good and evil deeds by current laws, I would be responsible for many crimes. The same way you all like to solve mysteries and riddles, or clear video games more quickly. For me too, it's simply prolonging something I enjoy doing. That's why I only take on cases that pique my interest. It's not justice at all. And if it means being able to clear a case, I don't play fair, I'm a dishonest, cheating human being who hates losing.

Inconsistently Admirable heroes who lacks heroic attributes and/or morals, preventing them from Near Pure Good or Pure Good. This is also the most common category for Inconsistently Admirable characters given their inconsistent nature. However, despite this, they are still heroes very dedicated to saving the day and constantly pass the Goodness Zone. This category is not to be confused with Non-Heroes, as Anti-Heroes are heroic for questionable intentions and/or methods, while Non-Heroes are not actually heroic.

Note: Just because a hero is apathetic, succumbs to corruption and has many corrupting factors (such as Jerkiness, Arrogance, Egotism, being On & Off, Lethality, Incompetence, Xenophobia, Perversion, Extremism, etc.) doesn't automatically mean they are, were or will be an anti-hero if the narrative doesn't portray them as anti-heroic (e.g. Caesar, Revali, SpongeBob SquarePants, Rainbow Dash, Shrek, Mike Wazowski, Luke Skywalker, Jon Snow, Cortana, Meggy Spletzer, Star-Lord, Curly, Yor Forger, Thomas the Tank Engine, Arthur Pendragon, Connor Kenway, Cogsworth, Tatasia Offentus, The Knight, Charles Calvin, Optimus Prime, Black Scorpion, Eraser Head, Sylens, and Old Man McGucket).

Note: Non-Heroes can only qualify if they're either have the following qualities of a Anti-Hero if still treated as a Villain by their works (e.g Ainz Ooal Gown) or are once considered Anti-Heroes before becoming Fallen but their past heroism are no longer relevant enough to get a Heroes Wiki Page (e.g. Unicron Trilogy Starscream, King Edward V) otherwise do not add this category to every Non-Hero Page.

Their counterparts are Inconsistently Heinous Anti-Villains.
