Caleb is the protagonist of the video game Blood. He is the strongest of the Chosen in the Cabal cult, worshipping the sinister deity Chernobog. After Caleb was killed by Chernobog himself, he resurrected after some time and decided to take revenge on him.

He is voiced by Stephan Weyte.

His Good Ranking[]

Debated Validations[]

  • Throughout the story, he kills many innocent people and devours their flesh, and even enjoys it. However, he also does this because, being undead, he needs to eat human flesh to strengthen his health and strength, so it's hard to say whether this is prevention or not.

What Makes Her Admirable?[]

In General[]

  • He sincerely cares about his beloved Ophelia, as well as the other two Chosen Ones, whom he considers friends, and although he mostly pursues only his own selfish goals, he is also ready to do anything for his friends and beloved.
  • Although one might assume that he is pursuing solely his own selfish goals, in fact this is not entirely true, since in the end he could have rejoined Chernobog, but did not do so, preferring instead to deservedly punish him.

Blood (1997)[]

  • At the age of 17, he participated in the American Civil War.
  • He meets a beautiful girl Ophelia and falls in love with her, and it is from her that he learns about the growing religious cult of Kabbalah, which he later joins with her.
  • Being killed by Chernobog himself, Caleb resurrects after 20 years and decides to take revenge on him for himself and Ophelia.
  • In order to take revenge, he finds and kills many of Chernobog's henchmen, who were tasked with killing the chosen ones, and who at that time captured many cities and populated them with evil spirits.
  • When Caleb meets with Chernobog himself, he tells him that he specifically resurrected him so that Caleb would sacrifice himself to him, but Caleb refuses this and kills Chernobog.
  • He went to the Carpathian Mountains, and there he took away from the Cabal cult a scroll that can upset the balance of power in the otherworld.
  • He learned that the Cabal cult trains new chosen ones to replace traitors, after which Caleb found them and killed them, thereby preventing them from doing evil and joining this cult.

Blood II: The Chosen[]

  • He began traveling the world to find a way to lead the Cabal cult, and resurrect Ophelia and other Chosen Ones whom he considered friends.
  • He was glad that his friends Gabriel and Ishmael had been resurrected, and together with them he began to confront the new leader of the Cabal cult, Gideon, who wanted to kill Caleb, and he also wanted to take over the whole world with his cult.
  • He kills Gideon, thereby preventing him from taking over the whole world, and saving the resurrected Ophelia from him.
  • He kills an evil interdimensional being, The Ancient One, and also seals the rifts, thereby preventing the destruction of reality.
  • After defeating the Ancient One, he, along with other Chosen Ones, searched for a way to get out of another dimension and return home.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is an obvious anti-hero, since he mainly pursues his own goals to get even with the one who killed him. Not to mention that even before he became an undead, he was much a thrill seeker, and he even initially enjoyed serving in the Cabal cult until Chernobog killed him.
  • He is extremely cruel and lethal, because he kills his victims in very perverted and sadistic ways, for example, dismembering them, blowing them up with dynamite, burning them alive, etc. Although most of his victims deserve it, being ruthless cultists or incorrigible undead monsters, he still gets great pleasure from killing them, and in every possible way makes black jokes about about this. And he also has no problem killing innocents who find themselves in the line of fire.
  • He On & Off, because he doesn't care about the concept of good and evil, and in order to achieve his goal, he is ready to commit villainous acts.
