Brandon Breyer, known as Brightburn, is the main protagonist villain in the 2019 film Brightburn as well as the main protagonist in the fanfiction Superman and Brightburn: The Adventure Begins. He will return in a planned sequel.
He had been an alien that was originally sent to conquer Earth before Clark Kent/Superman mentored him in the art of heroism.

What makes him Admirable?[]
- After the events of the film, Brandon felt remorse for what he had done prior.
- Saved Superman from The Armored One while she had a Kryptonite dagger.
- Helped in the mission to save Caitlyn Connor from being experimented on.
- Got The Armored One, revealed to be none other than Erica Connor, to redeem herself after their battle, when during her explanation as to how she's alive, she snapped out of the brainwashed state Brainiac put her in.
- Defeated Brainiac before he could accomplish his plan to destroy The Milky Way galaxy.
What makes him Inconsistent?[]
- He has had a jerkish moment to Superman, when they first met, where Brandon got into a fight with him, and even when Superman asked him what must be done with a criminal, Brandon incinerated a rock, which is what not to do with one.
- He has a wrathful moment with Superman, as shown when accusing him of knowing of the manhunt that was going on.
- During the final battle, he tore Brainiac's right arm off to try and prevent him from escaping, proving a lethal moment for Brightburn.
