~ Bloodsport
No one likes a showoff.
~ Bloodsport to Peacemaker.

Bloodsport, also known by his real name Robert DuBois, is the main protagonist of the 2021 DC Extended Universe film, the Suicide Squad.

He is an assassin who was placed into Belle Reeve prison after an attempt to kill Superman. He was then blackmailed by Amanda Waller into joining Task Force X, aka the Suicide Squad.

He was portrayed by Idris Elba, who also voiced Knuckles the Echidna in the Sonic Cinematic Universe.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable[]

In General[]

  • Despite the DC Extended Universe's hefty admirable standards, Bloodsport easily passes it for saving the world from Starro's rampage while having less resources than Batman (who has vast wealth and an arsenal of gadgets) and no powers unlike most of the DCEU heroes.

The Suicide Squad[]

  • He joined Task Force X to prevent Tyla from being put into a dangerous prison (undoubtedly Belle Reve).
  • While he was initially apethetic to the other members of the squad, he warms up to them as the film progresses, especially Ratcatcher 2.
    • He saved Ratcatcher 2 when Nanaue tried to eat her and when Peacemaker tried to kill her.
    • He promised that he would protect Ratcatcher 2 and make sure she survived the mission.
    • He even revealed his traumatic backstory to her.
  • When he found out that Peacemaker was helping the government hide their involvement with project Starro, he tries to kill him.
  • He, along with his team, saved Corto Maltese from Starro the Conqueror.
    • It is worth noting that Waller continuously threatened to detonate the bomb in Bloodsport's head, yet Bloodsport did not care.
    • He and Ratcatcher 2 also showed sympathy over Starro's death despite it terrorized the city.
  • He pet Sebastian despite his extreme fear of rats.
  • Although morally questionable, he blackmails Waller into letting his friends go free in exchange for keeping he details of Project Starfish confidential.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He's incredibly lethal to his enemies, executing them with graphic and brutal methods.
  • Despite redeeming himself, he doesn't outright show remorse for his villainous deeds.
  • He is often cynical and nihilistic.
  • While he does become friends with most of the squad, he never warms up to Peacemaker, and he is constantly trying to outdo him. However, this is a weak prevention since he was at least proven right about him when it turned out Peacemaker was hiding the truth about Project Starfish, killed Rick Flag just to cover their secret and tried to kill Ratcatcher 2.
  • After finding out that he killed a group of innocent rebels under Amanda Waller’s orders, he seemingly showed no remorse for it.
