Helen Park: And now the training's complete. We just need to give the subject a name.
Russell Adler: Bell.
~ Park and Adler giving Bell their codename

Bell is the main protagonist of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Originally the right-hand of Perseus, they were brainwashed by the CIA into helping them stop Perseus and his spy network before presumably being eliminated by Russell Adler.

Their Good Ranking[]

What Makes Them Admirable?[]

  • Helped Adler and Park stop Anton Volkov in Berlin, giving them the option to either kill Volkov or let Adler and Park arrest and interrogate him.
  • They can kill Lukas Richter for being sloppy, which is actually a good thing because he was double-crossing the CIA all along.
  • After the "Brick in the wall" mission, they stole an important briefcase from Franz Kraus revealing Perseus had access to a nuclear bomb.
  • Alongside Woods, they infiltrated a Russian military training base where they found important data on Perseus and Operation Greenlight, which consisted in detonnating dozens of nukes across Europe, and that the CIA (more specifically Jason Hudson) were part of it.
  • Infilitrated a Russian HQ alongside Adler to retrieve a lit showing all of the members of Perseus' network, and rescued Dmiti Belikov when the latter blew his cover and was captured.
  • If they collected enough evidence throughout the game, they will trigger the "Operation Red Circus" and "Operation Chaos" which are optional missions where Mason and Woods take down two KGB agents known as Vadim Rudnik and Robert Aldrich, further crippling Perseus' network.
  • Helped Adler's team find a brainwashed operative known as Theodore Hastings in Havana.
  • They can choose to save either Park or Lazar, with only one of them surviving and the other one dying.
  • After finding out their true identity and that they were brainwashed all along, they can choose to tell the truth to Adler that Operation Greenlight was taking place in Solovetsky, allowing Adler's team to stop Perseus and save countless people from being nuked. They also unintentionally sacrifice themselves since Adler kills them at the end on the CIA's orders.

What Makes Them Inconsistent?[]

  • They're grey-zoned, as since most of their good deeds are done while brainwashed and it seems that they work mostly under orders without questioning it. They're also a mercenary and an assassin working for the CIA, which is too mitigating for NPG.
  • They can be very lethal and aggresive according to how the players plays them, with them killing their enemies in rather brutal ways, and also can act in a jerkish way towards the other members of Adler's team by choosing jerk dialogue options.
  • Althrough this is non-canon, they can become villainous if the "Ashes to Ashes" mission is selected instead of "The Final Countdown", where they lie to Adler and give him a fake location to set up an ambush and join Perseus, helping him kill everyone and start Operation Greenlight, killing millions of people by nuking Europe.
