~ Batman's most famous quote |
Bruce Wayne, better known as Batman, is one of the main protagonists of the DC Animated Universe.
After his parents were murdered Bruce Wayne decided to fight against crime by taking up mantle of Batman and acting as a vigilante so that no kid would have to go through what he went through. Though he can seem cold and callous at times, even to his allies, Bruce cares deeply about those around him and will go to great lengths for them. Bruce later becomes a member of the Justice League in their show and acts as a mentor to Terry McGinnis when he takes over as Batman in Batman Beyond.
He was voiced by the late Kevin Conroy, who also voiced his Arkhamverse counterpart.

- At some unknown point he was able to deduce that Terry was his biological son, though he initially chose not to tell him out of respect for his partial father, Warren, while also wanting him to become his own man.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- As with most versions, he can be a jerk to his allies at times. By the time of Batman Beyond he has become alienated from pretty much anyone who ever cared about him out of depression and paranoia, though he does patch up his old relationships as the show went ont.
- He roughed up a criminal in front of his family. This appalled Dick Grayson and contributed to him becoming Nightwing, though Bruce did realize his mistake in the end.
- There have been situations where he's abandoned his no-kill rule:
- He attempted to murder Joker by throwing a knife at his head for torturing Tim Drake to insanity, promising to "break [him] in two". Though considering what Joker did to Tim, a child, and how much turmoil he put him in over the years, it's justified to say the least.
- He wanted to use lethal force on Sewer King, though it's understandable for his actions against children.
- He briefly shut off the batsuit after Terry stole it, leaving him at the mercy of guards that were going to kill him. However, he does change his mind and lets Terry carry on with his plan, so this isn't a big prevention.
- He trapped Chronos in an endless time loop of his wife insulting him, which was a fate not even he deserved.
