Bruce Wayne, better known as Batman, is the titular main protagonist of Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher's film and comic series of the same name and the tritagonist of the 2023 DC Extended Universe film The Flash.
He is a billionaire that became a costumed vigilante following the death of his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne. Throughout his career, he would fight many noticeable foes, such as the Joker (the murderer of his parents), the Penguin, Catwoman, the Riddler, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn (the daughter of the Joker), and the Scarecrow.
In an alternate timeline (which avoided the events of Batman Forever and Batman and Robin), he would enter in retirement, until he was discovered by Barry Allen and his past self. After having some time to reflect upon, he was eventually convinced in taking up the Batman mantle once more and assist them in preventing General Zod from destroying his world.
He was portrayed by Michael Keaton in the first two films, the Batman '89 comic series, and The Flash, the late Val Kilmer in Batman Forever, and George Clooney in Batman & Robin and the post-Flashpoint ending scene of The Flash.

- In the end, he fights the Joker and ultimately defeats him by shooting a grapple to his leg and to a gargoyle, leading to him falling to his death and ending his reign of terror over Gotham and saved Vicki from falling as well.
Batman Returns[]
- He stops the Red Triangle gang and saves Selina Kyle.
- He attempts to stop the Penguin and Max Shreck from taking over Gotham.
- Upon learning that the Penguin was an outcast by his parents, due to his deformity and animalistic behavior, he felt some sympathy towards him.
- Although he fights Catwoman, he was only trying to stop her and then took sympathy on her and offered her to stay with him. He even apologized when he hit her.

- He recorded the Penguin's outburst towards the citizens and played it during his rally, which reveals his true nature to everyone.

- He accepted Dick as his partner Robin.

- He eventually stopped both the Riddler and Two-Face from stealing everyone's intelligence.
Batman & Robin[]
- He tries to stop Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Bane from freezing Gotham.
- He often tries to keep Robin in line, such as warning him of Ivy's seductions, given how reckless he is. While most of this amounted to overprotectiveness at first, he later takes to heart Robin and Alfred's words about trusting his teammates.
- He reveals to Mr. Freeze that Ivy was the true culprit and took Nora's life and manipulated him and offered him to continue his research.
- He and Dick let Barbara fight crime with them from now on.

- He and Drake Winston save Harvey Dent from the Royal Autobody, which was caught on fire by the Joker Gang, and when half of Harvey's face gets burned, Bruce decides to take him to Switzerland to have his face go through surgery.
- Even though he fought with Drake, it was out of self-defense when the latter threw water in his face, thinking it was battery acid.
- When Drake knew that Bruce is Batman, he allowed him to stay in his manor and showed him the Batcave, where he becomes his partner Robin.
- He, Robin, Catwoman, and Commissioner Gordon try to stop Harvey, now calling himself Two-Face, from turning Gotham against Batman, blaming him for inspiring crime in the city, which Batman isn't responsible for.
- He explains to Catwoman that he has been looking everywhere for her after she electrocuted Max Shreck to death at Gotham City Zoo, which made Bruce believe that Selina died with Shreck. He also tells her that the reason he stopped looking was because there was a fifty-fifty chance that she was still alive.
- He tells Alfred not to interfere with his final confrontation with Two-Face so that nothing happens to him.
- He rightfully berates Catwoman for causing Two-Face to fall to his death.

The Flash[]
- He helps the two Barrys find Superman.
- He and Supergirl help fight Zod and his forces with the Barrys.
- He attempted to sacrifice himself by attempting to destroy Zod's ship, but failed due to the shield.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Like most versions, he is an anti-hero, as he uses brutal tactics to stop crime such as beating up criminals to death.
- He once threatened two criminals by beating up one and scaring the other by telling him he's Batman.
- He took Vicki back to her place, but he stole her film to find out information on the Joker and showed no remorse.
- He can be stubborn or a jerk sometimes,
- as he once left a criminal hanging on the ceiling to stop Napier and him telling Vicki she weighs more than 100 Ibs.
- he was ungrateful about Robin saving his life after being left for dead by Riddler and Two-Face.
- he briefly abandoned his Batman persona much to Dick's protests, though he later backpedaled upon learning the Riddler's identity after the ambush on his mansion where Chase is abducted and Bruce was almost killed .
- He is extremely lethal as he is brutal towards his enemies and even murdered some of them, too.
- He killed some of the Joker's henchmen at Axis Chemicals by dropping a bomb from his Batmobile, exploding the plant with them in it.
- He repeatedly roughed up the Joker every time they fought, outright saying "I'm going to kill you", although most of it was justified since he was the person who killed his parents and tried to kill the citizens of Gotham.
- He also killed two of the Penguin's henchmen when he was fighting them.
- He also let Two-Face fall to his death by throwing coins at him to avoid catching his. This goes without saying that he told off Dick earlier for wanting to kill Two-Face, saying vengeance would consume him if he did, which makes him a hypocrite.
- He also put a bomb inside a cabin where he was hiding in under the guise of Robert Lowery/Firefly, which could have killed the U.S. Marshals who were tracking him down.
Trivia[]
- Despite the common strict guideline that the mainstream version holds with his no-kill-rule, this Batman is actually more accurate to the early stories of the character, who has blood on his hands.
- This version of the character has gone through character growth in all four movies, and has dealt with problems in his life. in Batman, he was dealing with pain. In Batman Returns, he was dealing with revenge. In Batman Forever, he was dealing with his duality. And in Batman & Robin, he was dealing with loss and trust issues.
