His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- He is accused of murdering the father of his beloved Eliza and is imprisoned in the Bastille, where he met the prisoner Pierre Bellek, a master assassin. When they are freed during the storming of the Bastille, Bellek calls him to the Brotherhood. At first, Arno is skeptical of this idea and immediately after escaping goes to Elise, but cannot dissuade her from his involvement in the death of the girl's father. Hoping to get the truth, he decides to join the assassins in order to find the killers of Eliza's father.
- He kills the Templar Charles Gabriel Siever and the "King of Beggars", who were involved in the murder of Eliza's father.
- After pulling Germain out of prison in a Paris mansion, he learned from him that the murder weapons were made by order of a certain Chretien Lafreniere. Upon learning of Lafreniere's plans to prepare some kind of attack, the hero enters the cemetery, where Chretien is holding a meeting, and kills him.
- Infiltrating the site of the Templar conspirators' meeting, he learns that they are preparing to kill Eliza. After meeting with Eliza, he saves her from the attackers.
- He learns that Germain was the initiator of the conspiracy, after which Arnaud and Elise tried to find salvation from the assassins, but most of them, except Mirabeau, did not want to cooperate with Elise.
- When Mirabeau was killed, and all the evidence pointed to Elise, Arnaud did not immediately draw a conclusion, and after conducting a full investigation, he came to the real killer of Mirabeau — Pierre Bellek, who considered Mirabeau's activities to conclude peace with the Templars and actively participate in the politics of the Great French Revolution a violation of the tenets of the Creed. After a long fight, Arno kills Bellek.
- At the Tuileries, he met a young officer, Napoleon Bonaparte, whom he saved from the revolutionaries. After that, Napoleon tells Arno about Captain Frederick Ruy, who is a member of the Templars, interfering with him. Arno then finds Ruy and kills him during the September murders.
- He, in alliance with Elise, kills two more members of the Templar Order who participated in the conspiracy against de la Serre on the side of Germain — the merchant Marie Leveque, who provoked hunger riots in Paris, and Louis-Michel Lepeletier, the deputy who insisted on the execution of King Louis XVI.
- He does not pursue Germain, but stays to protect Elise.
- He enters the Palace of Versailles, where he kills the leader of the bandits who stole his watch.
- He agrees to return to Paris, having previously killed La Touche, a Templar and former treasurer of the "King of Beggars", who carried out mass executions in Versailles.
- He and Elise defeat the Jacobin leader Maximilian Robespierre (an accomplice of Germain), and learn from him the location of Germain, after which they surrender Robespierre to the soldiers of the Convention.
- He finally kills Germain, after which he leaves his body in the crypt, and buries Eliza next to her father. Subsequently, Arnaud returns to the Brotherhood, and also revisits the crypt in the Temple with Napoleon Bonaparte many years later, showing how much Eliza was dear to him.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- Although unlike other members of the Brotherhood, he does not possess significant anti-heroic qualities, he is still an assassin, which makes him too lethal for an NPG, since he is also like other assassins from the Brotherhood, since he kills his victims in rather brutal ways.
