This is the end, friend!
~ Andy to Chucky before burning him.

Andrew William "Andy" Barclay is the main protagonist of Don Mancini's Child's Play franchise.

He is a 6-year-old boy, who after receiving a Good Guy doll for his sixth birthday, is the prime suspect in a series of mysterious murders. He is the arch-nemesis and former "best friend" of Chucky (alongside Jake Wheeler).

He was portrayed by Alex Vincent in the first, second, sixth, and seventh films and the TV series Chucky, and by Justin Whalin in the third film.

His Good Ranking[]

What Makes Him Admirable?[]

  • Throughout the movies and TV show, he actively tries to stop Chucky from causing terror and killed him multiple times.
  • He armed himself with a baseball bat and tries to knock Chucky out.
  • He lights a match in the fireplace, lighting Chucky on fire.
  • He tried to tell his foster family about Chucky.
  • He armed himself with a electric knife to try to attack Chucky.
  • He and Kyle battle Chucky in the Good Guy factory and ultimately kill him the second time.
  • He covers Chucky in hot molten plastic to kill him.
  • He saved Kyle from being trapped in the machine.
  • When he was in the military, he tried to protect the troops, especially Ronald Tyler from Chucky (who wants to transfer his soul in him) who tracked Andy to the military.
  • He tried to keep Chucky from murdering Shelton, despite him being a jerk to him.
  • He only stole Shelton's map to find Tyler's team and protect Tyler from Chucky.
  • He gave Tyler a pocket-knife to protect himself from Chucky.
  • He saved Tyler from Chucky who tried to transfer his soul in him by shooting Chucky and cutting off his hand, making him fall in the fan.
  • In the end of Curse of Chucky, he shoots Chucky with a shotgun.
  • He grabs the gun Chucky was hiding inside him and shoots him multiple times.
  • In Season 1 of the Chucky TV series, he and Kyle shoot Chucky repeatedly, saving Becky.
  • He saves Devon from Chucky's headless body by smashing it with a baseball bat.
  • He shoots Tiffany and drives the van off a cliff to kill the Chuckies to avenge Kyle.
  • He, along with everyone chant the exorcism with Father Bryce to free Chucky's soul from the doll body and also separate him from Nica's body.
  • He kills Chucky and sets his body on fire in the second season.

What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]

  • He is way too Homicidal and sadistic for NPG as he kept Chucky's head and tortured it such as putting nails in it and blowing it with a flamethrower instead of just killing him, even though he deserved every ounce of pain after everything he's done.
  • He punched a guy to get into the institution.
  • When he realized that Nica was possessed by Chucky, he did not hesitate to kill her, although it was only because Nica wasn't herself at that moment.

Trivia[]

  • He is the only Child's Play hero to be Inconsistently Admirable.
