Alucard, secretly Count Dracula, is the main protagonist of the anime/manga series Hellsing. He is a powerful vampire who obtained his powers after drinking blood from a battlefield. After a few centuries, he was defeated by Abraham Van Helsing, who tamed him into his family servant.
During the events of Hellsing Ultimate, he helps the Hellsing Organization to defeat the Nazi vampires of Millennium and the crusaders of the Iscariot Organization. Despite being considered an anti-hero he has committed many horrible acts during his days as Count Dracula, and even in the present has no problems in committing several vile acts without remorse.
He is voiced by Jōji Nakata in the Japanese version of the anime and Crispin Freeman in the English version.

What Makes Him Admirable?[]
- After his defeat by Abraham Van Helsing, he becomes loyal to the Hellsing Organization and helps them to protect England from monsters.
- He saved Seras when she was held hostage by Chedder Priest, and gave her the choice to either die or continue to live as a vampire.
- He kills the Cheddar Priest and stops him from turning any more people into ghouls.
- He protects Seras and teaches her how to fight like a true vampire while he goes on missions with her.
- He protects his master Integra at all costs and is shown to be very loyal and obey her commands without question or hesitation.
- As he works for Hellsing, he searches for the undead and supernatural evil forces, and has stopped all kinds of monsters as that is his job, killing any evil that gets in his way.
- He kills several of Millennium's top lieutenants such as Luke Valentine, Tublacain Alhambra, and Rip Van Winkle, severely weakening Millennium.
- He telepathically communicates with Seras and helps her break free of Zorin Blitz's illusions.
- He released his familiar army in London, defeated both The Major's Millennium's troops and Enrico Maxwell's 9th Crusader Army.
- He initially accepted death when fighting against Alexander Anderson, but when he sees Anderson using Helena's Nail to transform himself into a thorn monster, he makes up his mind and defeated him.
- He saves Seras from being burned by Anderson's holy flames.
- Not only does he protect Hellsing, but he protects all of England too, and has been doing this since he was first captured by Van Hellsing.
- He has standards and follows his code, and shows disgust in other vampires who simply kill just for the sake of it.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is an anti-hero, as he mainly just does whatever he wants and lives however he wants. He has shown to be very violent and brutal with his enemies, even torturing them to death and taking great pleasure in it.
- He is On & Off. Even after he becomes a vampire hunter, he is still a sadistic monster who has no problem killing innocent people without any remorse, such as slaughtering the policemen who already gave up fighting, and absorbing the souls of millions of dead people in London. He shows lots of sadism in killing others, brutally mutilating and cannibalizing his victims with enjoyment.
- He can be rude and bit of a jerk sometimes even to his own friends, such as when he called Seras an idiot and kept referring to her as “police girl”.
Trivia[]
- Alucard is currently the only Hellsing character to be Inconsistently Admirable, although other heroes like Intergra and Seras might count too.
