Abraham Ford is a major character from season 4 to season 6 of AMC's The Walking Dead He is a former soldier in the military who lost his family to the apocalypse.
After being lied to about a cure for the apocalypse by his friend Eugene Porter, Abraham has a hard time finding a will to live, until he gets to Alexandria.

What makes him admirable?[]
- Kills 4 men for raping his wife.
- Saves Eugene from some walkers after his family dies.
- Helps mission Eugene with his mission to save the world and acts as his bodyguard. While the mission ended up being a lie for Eugene to be protected, Abe genuinely believed it and was devastated to find out it was a lie.
- Saves Glenn and Tara when they were on the side of the road.
- Helps clear a herd of walkers.
- Gives Glenn some supplies before he goes off to find Maggie.
- Helps clear a cave of walkers that Maggie and Glenn are stuck in.
- Helps everyone get over the gare when they are escaping from Terminus
- Gives Rick a map to Washington and Apologizes for his behavior earlier.
- Helps the survivors get out the bus when it crashes.
- Crushes the walkers when they are about to eat Carl and Michonne.
- Stops Eugene from drinking possibly poisoned waterç
- Helps the group hold the barn shut when walkers are breaking it.

- Refuses to let the saviors get close to maggie during the lineup and stays near and protects her when they are on their knees.
- Unlike everyone else who is scared and one their knees, Abe shows no fear and stands up at Negan while looking him right in the eye. This was confirmed to be a sacrificial offer to him so everyone else doesn't die, to which Negan obliges.
- Shows zero fear or pain even after getting struck in the head by a bat and mocks Negan for his final words.
What makes him inconsistent?[]
- He is very Wraftul and berserk as he beat Eugene to near death for lying to him about the cure and killed 4 men brutally for raping his wife(though this is understandable).
- Can be a cold jerk sometimes like when he told Glenn that Maggie is dead and he should stop looking for her and told Rosita the only reason he was with her was that he thought she was the last woman on earth.
- Participated in the brutal slaughter of the cannibals.
- Showed zero faith in Eugene's survival capabilities and told him he is no survivor and coldly left him in the weapon facility though he did apologize for this later.
